My favorite part of the CJC is the vibrant community and passion that comes from being a student here. Through my involvement with PRSSA and Alpha PR, I’ve found some of my closest friends at UF and developed strong connections with them in classes and at various CJC-related events. Working with Alpha PR, I’ve been able to organize events that benefit other CJC students, which has been incredibly impactful. Additionally, connecting with public relations faculty and professors, who are deeply passionate about their work and teaching, has been inspiring. Their enthusiasm for the field truly rubs off, making the CJC feel like a close-knit home where students share similar passions. Joining JCA would allow me to further contribute to this welcoming environment and help others find their place within the CJC, just as I have.
My dream job is to work in either running political campaigns or in public relations within the entertainment industry, specifically in country music. Through my involvement with the Bob Graham Center at UF, I discovered my passion for public service and political communication. I’ve also had the opportunity to intern with the Florida House of Representatives, which deepened my interest in strategic messaging and campaign work. On the entertainment side, I love attending country concerts, and my enthusiasm for media communications and event management makes the idea of working in country music PR especially exciting. Both fields allow me to combine my love for connecting with people, strategic planning, and creating engaging experiences.
You also chose UF because of its strong academic reputation, especially in the public relations program, which aligned with your career goals and interests. The university’s vibrant school spirit and enthusiasm, seen at events and throughout campus life, made it an exciting and welcoming environment. These factors, combined with the sense of community you found within the CJC, convinced you that UF was the right place for you to grow, learn, and connect with others.
My favorite UF sports are gymnastics and football. I love the excitement and energy of gymnastics meets, where the athletes’ skill and precision are on full display. Football games, with their electric atmosphere and school spirit, are also a highlight of the UF experience for me. Both sports showcase the passion and enthusiasm that make being a Gator so special.
